A favorite photograph. A pet that has been part of the family for years. A memory someone wants to preserve. An idea they want to see brought to life.
I use those references as a starting point, then build the painting through color, texture, contrast, and expression. The result is an original piece of art—not a reproduction—that reflects both the subject and the way I see it.

My work is centered around custom, expressive portraiture—taking a photograph, a memory, or a subject that means something to someone and interpreting it through my own style.
I’m especially drawn to painting animals. Every animal has its own personality, expression, and energy, and that’s what I try to capture on canvas. I’m not interested in simply recreating a photograph. I want the finished piece to feel alive.
My paintings combine recognizable detail with bold color, layered texture, movement, and spontaneous marks. Some parts are deliberate. Others happen naturally as the piece develops. That balance is what makes every painting unique.

Custom work is a major part of what I do. Clients provide the inspiration, and I create an original painting specifically for them.
While animal portraiture has become one of the most recognizable parts of my work, I welcome custom concepts that connect with my style and approach.
Every commission is created individually and painted by hand.
